Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology
The nomenclature of the program shall be Master of Science (Speech-Language Pathology). M.Sc. (SLP) shall be the short form. The M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology Course trains students to function as teachers and researchers in institutions of higher learning, diagnose and manage disorders of speech, language, and swallowing across life span. The postgraduate program include a provision for integrated program in Speech Language Pathology as well as specialization in Speech language Pathology.
Award of Postgraduate Degree The University shall award the Postgraduate degree and issue certificate only after the candidates successfully complete all the University examinations and clinical research.
Level - Masters
As per UGC Notification of 2017, the nomenclature of the program shall be Master of Science (Speech-Language Pathology). M.Sc. (SLP) shall be the short form.
Duration - 2 Years
The program shall be of 4 semesters (2 academic years) and should be completed within 4 years from the date of admission. An academic year consists of two semesters, and each semester shall extend over a minimum period of sixteen weeks excluding examination days. The semesters shall be spread out as follows:
- Odd semester – 1 & 3 ( July – November)
- Even semesters – 2 & 4 ( January – May)
There shall be examination at the end of each semester. There shall be a vacation of minimum 2 weeks after the examinations at the end of odd semesters and 4 weeks after the examinations at the end of even semesters.

Educational Qualifications for M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology Course
- Candidates with BASLP/B.Sc.(Speech & Hearing) degree of any recognized university by the Rehabilitation Council of India with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Relaxation in the qualifying marks for designated categories of students shall be as per rules and regulations of respective University / State / Union Territories or the Central Government.

The Entrance examination for M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology admissions are conducted by respective Universities or Colleges. NEET UG examinations also takes up students for M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology. The applicant/candidate should have passed BASLP with 55% to qualify the examination criteria. The Question paper consist of equal portions from all the eligible subjects.
